Senior .NET Android Developer (Xamarin.Android)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior .NET Android Developer to join a client’s team in Brussels. You will design, develop, and maintain native Android applications using Xamarin.Android, working closely with solution architects and business stakeholders to deliver high‑quality, scalable mobile solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain native Android apps with .NET (Xamarin.Android).
• Apply Clean Code, Clean Architecture and SOLID principles to produce robust, maintainable code.
• Implement the MVVM pattern using MvvmCross, handling navigation, DI and data binding.
• Integrate with backend APIs, providing offline support, local persistence, synchronization and conflict resolution.
• Write and maintain automated unit tests to ensure software quality.
• Set up and manage CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps.
• Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle.
• Participate in code reviews, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of professional .NET development experience.
• At least 3 years of hands‑on experience with Xamarin.Android (not limited to Xamarin.Forms or .NET MAUI).
• Proven expertise with MvvmCross, including navigation, dependency injection and view‑model lifecycle.
• Strong understanding of Android fundamentals such as activities, fragments, services, WorkManager, push notifications and native SDK integration.
• Experience writing automated unit tests and delivering clean, maintainable code.
• Practical knowledge of Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines and Git version control.
• Fluent English and native‑level Dutch or French (C2), with English at least C1.
• Available to work on‑site in Brussels at least two days per week.
