Senior Kubernetes / Container Platform Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Kubernetes / Container Platform Engineer to lead the design, deployment, and operation of on‑premises container platforms. You will work closely with DevOps and development teams to ensure reliable, secure, and scalable Kubernetes environments.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy, upgrade, configure, and maintain on‑prem platforms such as Rancher, Tanzu, and OpenShift, along with their Kubernetes clusters.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, scaling, and application deployment using Ansible, Helm, and other IaC tools.
• Implement monitoring and logging solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, etc.) and ensure high availability.
• Enforce security and compliance through RBAC, Network Policies, secret management, and Pod Security Standards.
• Troubleshoot platform, cluster, node, and container performance issues.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate CI/CD pipelines and optimise container performance.
• Conduct strategic architecture studies, capacity planning, migration planning, and quality assurance during deployments.
• Design and deliver training sessions, assess training needs and results.

Required profile

• Deep knowledge of Kubernetes architecture, control plane, kubelet, pods, CNI and CSI plug‑ins.
• Hands‑on production experience with on‑prem platforms (Rancher, Tanzu, OpenShift) and managing K8s clusters.
• Understanding of the full K8s lifecycle and its trade‑offs.
• Ability to write and modify scripts (Ansible, Python, Bash) and work with Helm charts and K8s manifests.
• Familiarity with DevOps tooling such as Git, ArgoCD, Harbor, JFrog, and Sysdig.
