Senior IT Project Manager – SAP Technical Projects

About the role

ITS Group is seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to lead technical SAP initiatives within a major SAP transformation and post‑migration stabilization program. You will structure, plan and deliver workstreams that modernise the SAP landscape, reduce technical debt and secure the foundation for future SAP operations.

Key responsibilities

• Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, constraints and dependencies for SAP technical initiatives.
• Structure initiatives into clear work packages and maintain detailed project plans, milestones and workload estimates.
• Coordinate internal and external teams including SAP architects, infrastructure, security, IAM, AMS partners and business stakeholders.
• Manage the migration from SAP PI/PO to SAP CPI / Integration Suite, including inventory, categorisation and migration planning of interfaces.
• Lead the modernisation of the Fiori Launchpad towards SAP BTP / Work Zone / Launchpad Service.
• Oversee SAP landscape, connectivity and platform topics such as RISE/ECS, certificates, endpoints, reverse proxy, Web Dispatcher, firewall, ports and DNS.
• Track risks, issues, decisions, dependencies, budget and planning; prepare reporting and decision‑making materials for IT management.
• Ensure a smooth transition to RUN/AMS teams with proper documentation, support procedures, monitoring, access management and hyper‑care planning.

Required profile

• 7‑10 years of experience in IT project management, preferably within SAP environments.
• Ability to understand SAP technical topics without being a SAP architect, and to challenge planning assumptions.
• Strong analytical skills to identify dependencies and secure project execution.
• Experience managing large‑scale SAP technical portfolios and coordinating cross‑functional teams.
