Operational Excellence Consultant

About the role

As an Operational Excellence Consultant at MSIG Europe, you will act as an in‑house consultant driving cross‑functional improvement initiatives across underwriting, claims and operations. You will combine structured problem‑solving with automation and AI to deliver sustainable efficiency gains aligned with the company’s strategic priorities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate improvement projects, including automation and AI, from problem definition through implementation.
• Collaborate with business owners in underwriting, claims and operations to identify inefficiencies and define improvement opportunities.
• Apply structured problem‑solving methods such as root‑cause analysis, data analysis and process mapping to design scalable solutions.
• Define success metrics, track benefits and ensure measurable, sustainable value.
• Prepare decision materials, business cases and recommendations for senior management.
• Balance quick‑win initiatives with longer‑term transformation projects.

Required profile

• Experience in process improvement, operational excellence or internal consulting.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to conduct root‑cause analysis and data‑driven decision making.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and drive projects across multiple functions.

Required skills

• Process mapping and analysis tools.
• Automation and Artificial Intelligence concepts.
• Data analysis (e.g., Excel, SQL, or similar).
