Senior Internal Auditor

About the role

John Cockerill is strengthening its Internal Audit function to support governance, risk management, and sustainable performance across its global industrial operations. Reporting to the Internal Audit Manager, the Senior Internal Auditor will lead high‑value audit engagements that span strategic, operational, financial, IT, and cross‑functional areas.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and execute internal audit engagements, including risk analysis, scope definition and work program development.
• Lead audit teams to assess internal controls, risk management processes and governance frameworks.
• Prepare audit reports with findings, recommendations and action plans for senior management and key stakeholders.
• Monitor follow‑up actions and ensure implementation of agreed improvements.
• Collaborate with business units to promote a culture of continuous improvement and compliance.

Required profile

• Proven experience in internal audit within a large, international organization.
• Strong understanding of strategic, operational, financial and IT audit methodologies.
• Ability to work independently and influence senior management.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
