Senior Front End Engineer (Angular) – Enterprise Digital Platform

About the role

We are looking for a highly experienced Front‑End Engineer / Architect specialized in Angular (2+) to join a large‑scale digital modernization program for a secure public‑sector enterprise. The assignment is part of a multi‑year transformation initiative running until at least 2028 and will be delivered on a detachment basis.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop complex Angular single‑page applications.
• Build responsive, scalable, and maintainable front‑end architectures.
• Integrate and consume RESTful APIs and micro‑services.
• Translate UX/UI wireframes into reusable, high‑quality code.
• Contribute to front‑end architecture and design decisions.
• Develop and maintain Design System component libraries.
• Optimize front‑end performance and code structure.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines, preferably using Azure DevOps.
• Collaborate closely with UX/UI designers, back‑end engineers, and stakeholders.
• Participate in Agile delivery teams and iterative development cycles.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in front‑end application development.
• 5+ years of hands‑on experience with Angular 2+.
• Strong background in building single‑page applications and cloud‑native front‑ends.
• Proven experience integrating RESTful APIs and working with micro‑services.
• 3+ years of experience with Design Systems or component libraries.
• 3+ years of experience with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps preferred).
• Fluent in English; professional proficiency in Dutch or French.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Proactive, independent, team‑oriented and able to challenge designs.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Brussels at least three days per week.
