Senior Financial Controller

About the role

Fluxys is seeking a Senior Financial Controller to lead budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting for its Belgium operations. The role supports strategic decision‑making and ensures regulatory compliance across transport, storage and emerging energy‑transition activities.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and consolidate the annual budgeting and forecasting process, delivering P&L and balance‑sheet results.
• Prepare quarterly KPI reports analysing performance of transport, storage and energy‑transition activities.
• Maintain strong cross‑functional relationships to promote best practices and effective control.
• Support semi‑annual and annual financial reporting, including submissions to the CREG, other regulators and EU taxonomy requirements.
• Manage cost allocation for regulated activities such as CO₂ and H₂ at federal and regional levels.
• Conduct in‑depth financial analyses on complex and strategic topics.
• Maintain financial data structures in SAP, BPC and BW.
• Drive continuous improvement of reporting, control and planning processes, including rollout of new reporting tools.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Finance, Economics or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in financial controlling or a similar role.
• Strong analytical mindset with high attention to accuracy and consistency.
• Deep understanding of budgeting, financial reporting and accounting principles.
• Business‑oriented attitude with the ability to add value through insights.
• Excellent communication skills, able to present actionable financial information to all organisational levels.
• Fluent in French or Dutch, with good English proficiency.
