About the role

We are seeking a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to join a dedicated team supporting a railway infrastructure client. You will drive automation, deployment, and security for complex real‑time signalling systems, ensuring robust and compliant software delivery pipelines.

Key responsibilities

Design, implement and document automated software deployment processes.
Support production installations, updates and patches across development and live environments.
Monitor vulnerabilities, manage patching and contribute to security‑related tasks.
Maintain and improve CI/CD and DevSecOps workflows.
Provide second‑line support for software and IT equipment.
Document technical procedures and keep them up to date.

Required profile

Minimum 10 years of relevant technical experience, with at least 3 years in a DevOps‑related role.
Proven experience in DevOps/CI‑CD environments and strong knowledge of DevSecOps principles.
Solid understanding of Linux (CentOS, RedHat, Fedora) and network technologies (router, switch, VPN, firewall).
Hands‑on experience with automation, scripting and Infrastructure as Code.

Required skills

Automation tools: Ansible, Puppet, Jenkins (or similar).
Scripting languages: Python, Perl, Bash.
Programming: Java, C, C++.
Monitoring: Nagios, Zabbix.
Version control: Git.
IDE: IntelliJ, Eclipse, VS Code.
Virtualisation: VMware ESXi/vCenter.
Cloud platforms: Azure, AWS.
Security best practices and vulnerability management.
