Senior Consultant – R&D in Pharma & Life Sciences

About the role

PwC is seeking a Senior Consultant to join its Pharma & Life Sciences (PLS) practice in Brussels. You will lead R&D and Quality projects for pharmaceutical and biotech clients, providing strategic advice and helping to shape new operating models. The role also involves contributing to PwC’s centre of excellence through business development and thought‑leadership activities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead strategic assessments of R&D, Quality and value‑based healthcare initiatives for pharma and life‑science companies.
• Identify inefficiencies in R&D pipelines and quality processes and propose optimisation solutions.
• Develop recommendations and support implementation of new operating models.
• Contribute to the development of PwC’s centre of excellence, including service offering design and market scanning.
• Support business development by writing thought‑leadership pieces, point‑of‑view papers and blog posts.

Required profile

• Proven experience in pharmaceutical or biotech consulting, preferably within R&D or Quality functions.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross‑functional teams.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver high‑quality outcomes.
