Senior Business Controller – Finance & Controlling

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Business Controller for a Belgian entity of a global manufacturing group located in the port of Ghent. You will be a key financial partner, driving performance analysis, budgeting and strategic decision‑making in a dynamic, international environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct in‑depth analyses of P&L, ROCE and risk for specific market segments, identifying trends and growth opportunities.
• Translate financial data into clear reports and presentations, delivering strategic insights and recommendations.
• Optimize working capital and monitor key risks related to raw material inventories and accumulated positions.
• Manage the planning process, including periodic forecasts, annual budgeting and strategic planning up to the EBIT level.
• Support investment projects such as CAPEX and M&A by providing financial expertise.
• Collaborate with the Reporting Factory to improve reporting and analysis tools, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
• Act as a strong business partner for market segments, facilitating strategic decisions with financial insights.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in finance, business administration or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of finance experience, preferably as a controller or business partner.
• Strong analytical ability to turn financial data into strategic insights.
• Fluent in Dutch, both written and spoken.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting complex financial concepts.
• Proven ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams and senior management.

Required skills

• SAP or similar ERP system.
