Senior Backend Developer – AI Platform

About the role

As a Senior Backend Developer at Lowi, you will help build and evolve a scalable AI platform that enables organisations to leverage data and automation. You will work hands‑on with a strong technical team, delivering production‑ready code and shaping the backend architecture.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain core backend components of the AI platform.
• Address complex technical challenges and turn them into robust solutions.
• Contribute to the overall technical architecture and influence design decisions.
• Perform code reviews and mentor colleagues to uphold high coding standards.
• Ensure performance, security, scalability and maintainability of all services.
• Share knowledge and foster a strong technical culture within the team.

Required profile

• Several years of experience as a backend developer, including senior‑level roles.
• Strong foundation in building and overseeing complex systems.
• Proven ability to make and justify technical decisions.
• Independent work style with a hands‑on mentality and ownership mindset.
• Willingness to work full‑time on‑site in Hasselt.
