Senior Accountant – Brussels

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team in Brussels. The role offers ownership of accounting activities across multiple entities within an international, family‑owned group operating in infrastructure, environmental services and industrial operations. You will work closely with the Finance Manager to ensure accurate reporting and support strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full accounting cycle for multiple entities.
• Coordinate day‑to‑day accounting activities and support junior team members.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual closings.
• Manage accruals, reconciliations and statutory reporting.
• Ensure compliance with VAT, tax and regulatory obligations.
• Support group consolidation and intercompany reconciliations.
• Act as primary contact for auditors and external stakeholders.
• Monitor receivables and assist cash collection processes.
• Drive process improvements and optimise reporting efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Tax.
• Proven accounting track record.
• Strong knowledge of Belgian accounting and tax regulations.
• Experience in an international or multi‑entity environment (preferred).
• Fluency in English.
