Sales Director – Europe

About the role

The Sales Director will lead growth across Europe for a fast‑growing fintech that provides a global API for Know Your Payee verification. You will be responsible for identifying new market opportunities, building strategic relationships and delivering revenue growth in the cross‑border payments space.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute commercial strategies aligned with company objectives to accelerate European growth.
• Conduct market research and analysis to create detailed business plans for expansion and new opportunities.
• Understand existing customer requirements and ensure their needs are met.
• Acquire new customers, manage relationships with both new and existing clients.
• Collaborate with product, marketing, and customer‑success teams to align offerings with market demand.
• Build and maintain profitable partnerships with key stakeholders.
• Monitor performance of commercial activities using key metrics and prepare reports for senior management.
• Assist in setting financial targets, budgeting and monitoring financial performance.

Required profile

• Strong academic background in engineering, business or comparable experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience with a proven track record in the payment industry, preferably cross‑border payments.
• Previous experience as a commercial director or similar senior sales role in Europe.
• Demonstrated ability to manage relationships with key clients and lead sales/marketing initiatives.
• In‑depth understanding of market research methods, performance reporting and budgeting processes.
• Commercial awareness combined with a strategic mindset.
• Excellent organizational, leadership and communication skills in English and at least two major European languages (e.g., French, German, Spanish, Italian).
