Remote Accountant (Part-time Contractor)

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Accountant to join our partner network on a part‑time, fully remote basis. You will support a portfolio of non‑profit and for‑profit clients in Belgium, providing accurate bookkeeping, financial reporting, and compliance services while working independently.

Key responsibilities

• Reconcile client bank statements and maintain up‑to‑date bookkeeping records.
• Manage income and expenditure accounts to ensure proper financial tracking.
• Prepare financial reports based on accounting data and business activities.
• Handle tax filings, remittances, and other compliance requirements.
• Support the implementation, management, and optimisation of accounting software, primarily QuickBooks Online.
• Provide accurate financial information and maintain organised documentation for each client.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of professional accounting experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Experience with non‑profit accounting is preferred.
• CPA certification or equivalent professional designation is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills and the ability to work independently.
• Effective time‑management, prioritisation and deadline‑orientation.
• Clear communication skills and a client‑focused mindset.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with QuickBooks Online.
• Solid understanding of bookkeeping, financial reporting and general accounting processes.
