About the role
The R&D Project Quality Engineer ensures product quality excellence across new product implementation (NPI) and large grid and power system (GPS) projects. Working within the Business Unit, you will embed quality strategies, standards and processes throughout the project lifecycle to drive compliance, reliability and customer satisfaction.
Key responsibilities
- Implement Business Unit product development quality strategies for NPI and GPS projects.
- Guide cross‑functional R&D teams in applying quality standards from project initiation to delivery.
- Define, integrate and monitor quality objectives within project plans.
- Collect and analyse quality data (e.g., T‑NPS, NCR, ETQ, lessons learned) to improve product performance.
- Maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) and support audits, non‑conformities and corrective actions.
- Execute the Gate Model and track quality requirements across all project stages.
- Identify and mitigate product quality risks using FMEA, CoPQ analysis, reliability reviews and lessons learned.
- Oversee design control, change management, verification & validation, PPAP and control plans.
- Lead root cause analysis and problem‑solving activities, ensuring data‑driven corrective actions.
- Capture lessons learned and share best practices with BU R&D Quality teams.
Required profile
- Proven experience in product development quality within R&D or industrial projects.
- Strong understanding of quality management systems and regulatory standards.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams and stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical and risk‑assessment skills.
