Physician Medical Development Program – 24‑Month Rotational Role

About the role

Join UCB’s 24‑month Medical Development Program in Brussels, designed for physicians eager to transition into the pharmaceutical industry. Over three 8‑month rotations you will work across medical, translational medicine and global clinical development teams, applying clinical insight to evidence generation and drug development for neurological and autoimmune diseases.

Key responsibilities

• Complete three 8‑month rotations across medical and development functions, gaining broad industry exposure.
• Provide clinical insight to support evidence‑generation activities and patient‑focused drug development.
• Collaborate with mentors, line managers and buddies to integrate into each team.
• Explore and apply modern computational tools and data‑science approaches to support drug development projects.
• Participate in formal learning sessions and receive feedback to develop technical, interpersonal and behavioural skills.

Required profile

• Medical degree with 2–5 years post‑qualification clinical experience.
• Experience or strong interest in internal medicine, neurology, immunology, rare disease or respiratory medicine.
• Research training or a keen interest in clinical research.
• Motivation to translate clinical insight into evidence generation and drug development.
• Fluent English; additional European language or Mandarin is a plus.
