OPEX Project Manager

About the role

This role provides operational excellence and project‑management support to two cell‑therapy manufacturing plants in Belgium. You will strengthen a continuous‑improvement culture, build Lean and Six Sigma capabilities, and lead complex, cross‑functional optimisation initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Co‑own the Operational Excellence program, fostering a strong continuous‑improvement mindset across the site.
• Design, deliver and coach Lean and Six Sigma training, including Green Belt selection, project support and certification.
• Provide basic statistics training and assist teams with DMAIC, data analysis and structured problem‑solving.
• Maintain and improve templates, tools and OpEx deployment processes.
• Lead high‑impact Lean and Six Sigma projects (cost optimisation, lead‑time reduction, deviation reduction, scheduling, clean‑room efficiency).
• Act as subject‑matter expert for advanced statistics and data‑analysis queries.
• Apply Lean tools such as 5S, standard work, visual management, Kanban and Pareto analysis to drive improvements.
• Build and sustain strong relationships with peers and stakeholders across the organisation.

Required profile

• Minimum bachelor’s degree and Black Belt certification.
• At least 5 years of industrial operations experience, with a minimum of 3 years in the pharmaceutical sector.
• Proven experience with Lean process‑optimisation tools and Six Sigma problem‑solving (Green Belt certified).
• Fluent English; Dutch knowledge is a plus.
• Collaborative team player with excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Strong analytical mindset, capable of translating data into actionable insights.
• Demonstrated coaching, training and end‑to‑end project‑management abilities.
