Officer – Democratic Resilience and Partnerships

About the role

The NATO Parliamentary Assembly is seeking an Officer to support the policy team within the International Secretariat. Based in Brussels, the role focuses on strengthening democratic governance and resilience in partner countries, particularly through research, editorial work, and partnership programme support.

Key responsibilities

• Integrate democratic resilience themes into partnership and training programmes.
• Support the Assembly’s partnership with Ukraine, including capacity‑building for the Ukrainian parliament.
• Conduct research, prepare literature reviews, and produce editorial content.
• Draft background briefings, speeches, communication materials, and meeting agendas.
• Take notes and draft summaries during partnership body meetings.
• Assist with election observation missions and related reporting.
• Provide administrative and logistical support for partnership activities and training programmes.
• Travel with the policy team for visits, seminars, and mission reporting as required.

Required profile

• National of a NATO member country.
• Experience in research, policy analysis, and administrative support within an international or parliamentary context.
• Strong written communication skills for drafting briefs, speeches, and reports.
• Willingness to travel for meetings, seminars, and observation missions.
