Medior Functional Analyst (Hybrid, Brussels)

About the role

We are looking for a Medior Functional Analyst to join eXalt’s transformation programmes for banking, insurance, utilities and public‑sector clients. Working in a hybrid model (2.5 days on‑site in Brussels), you will act as the bridge between business stakeholders and IT teams, turning business needs into robust functional solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and analyse business requirements from multiple stakeholders.
• Translate requirements into detailed functional specifications and structured documentation.
• Model business processes and system interactions using UML (use‑case, sequence, class diagrams, etc.).
• Design, document and maintain API interfaces (REST/SOAP) and ensure smooth system integration.
• Support development teams during implementation with clear functional deliverables.
• Coordinate functional testing and organise User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Provide day‑to‑day support, troubleshoot functional issues and recommend process improvements.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years experience as a Functional Analyst, Business Analyst, Developer or Integration Consultant, preferably in banking, insurance or utilities.
• Strong analytical, structuring and documentation abilities.
• Hands‑on experience with UML modelling tools.
• Good understanding of API concepts and lifecycle.
• Familiarity with enterprise environments and data‑driven systems.
