Medior DevOps Engineer (CI/CD & SDLC Tooling)

About the role

As a Medior DevOps Engineer you will help streamline and standardise software delivery within the Software Delivery Center of Excellence. You will work across multiple delivery teams to evolve CI/CD pipelines and the broader SDLC toolchain, promoting automation and best practices.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, troubleshoot and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines for build, test and deployment.
• Create reusable pipeline templates, automation standards and integrate testing, quality checks and deployments.
• Support and evolve the SDLC toolchain (CI servers, repositories, testing and code‑quality tools) and act as the technical point of contact.
• Write, maintain and promote documentation on CI/CD best practices, pipeline conventions and tooling guidelines.
• Advocate DevOps and CI/CD best practices, helping teams adopt automation incrementally.
• Collaborate with developers, testers, architects, operations and community members, participating in onboarding, coaching and enablement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Applied Computer Sciences or equivalent experience.
• Several years of experience in DevOps, CI/CD or software delivery tooling.
• Experience in a multi‑team or enterprise environment.
• Pragmatic, hands‑on, solution‑oriented with strong communication skills.
• Comfortable working in a transversal, enabling role and continuous‑improvement mindset.
• Proficient in English; knowledge of Dutch or French is a plus.

Required skills

• CI/CD platforms such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
• Git and branching strategies.
• Build and deployment automation concepts.
• Integration of testing and quality checks into pipelines.
• Scripting with Bash, PowerShell or Python.
• Familiarity with repositories, testing tools and code‑quality tools.
