Loss Prevention Employee

About the role

The Loss Prevention Employee ensures a safe and secure environment for guests, employees, and property assets. Working primarily on‑site in a luxury hotel setting, you will combine safety education, incident response, and loss‑prevention measures to protect people and profit.

Key responsibilities

• Patrol all areas of the property and monitor CCTV, alarm, and fire‑life‑safety systems.
• Assist guests with room access, ADA accommodations, lockouts, and emergency situations.
• Respond to accidents, provide first aid/CPR, and coordinate EMS when needed.
• Investigate incidents, gather evidence, interview parties, and complete detailed incident reports.
• Escort unwelcome persons, handle disturbances, and maintain order without disrupting operations.
• Conduct daily hazard inspections, lock/unlock entrances, and report safety concerns.
• Maintain confidentiality of all security and property documents.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year experience as a security officer, preferably in a luxury hotel.
• High school diploma (or equivalent).
• First Aid and CPR certifications meeting local licensing requirements.
• Fluent English with strong written reporting skills.
• Military, police, or emergency‑services background is a plus.

Required skills

• First Aid and CPR certification.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
• Experience operating CCTV and other monitoring systems.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic calculations.
