Legal Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Legal Manager to join the senior management team of a fast‑growing data and technology company. The role is embedded within the business, providing strategic legal guidance while helping the organisation scale responsibly.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic legal advice and management support to senior leaders.
• Own Legal & Compliance governance, ensuring frameworks align with business growth.
• Manage contract drafting, negotiation and ongoing contract lifecycle.
• Oversee public‑sector and regulatory matters, including public procurement legislation.
• Coordinate external counsel, handle disputes and support legal enablement initiatives.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Law.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a lawyer or in‑house counsel with strong contract practice.
• Proven ability to translate complex legal issues into pragmatic business decisions.
• Self‑starter who can prioritize autonomously in a multi‑stakeholder environment.
• Fluent in Dutch; French and/or English are a plus.
• Experience or affinity with data, IT, security, or regulated digital environments.
• Exposure to public‑sector or governmental contexts and knowledge of public procurement legislation.
