Junior Payroll Specialist (Dutch speaker)

About the role

The Payroll Operations Senior Analyst ensures accurate and timely payroll processing for Belgian employees. Working closely with HR, finance, and external vendors, the role acts as a liaison to guarantee compliance with legal and organizational requirements while supporting the payroll team in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Administer new hires, leavers, absences, overtime, special leave, and lease‑car management.
• Prepare and process monthly payroll closing reports and code payroll files in the Blox Payroll System.
• Manage meal‑voucher orders, cash requests for off‑cycle and in‑cycle payroll payments.
• Ensure compliance with SOX internal controls and quality checklists.
• Collaborate with HR, finance, business units, and external vendors such as SD Worx and EY.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in payroll or a similar function.
• Fluency in Dutch; working knowledge of French and English.
• Thorough knowledge of Belgian payroll, social security, and labor‑law regulations.
• Strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and ability to handle large transaction volumes.

Required skills

• Proficiency with payroll systems (e.g., Eblox or similar).
• Experience with ProTime (a plus).
• Advanced MS Office skills, especially Excel.
