Junior Industrial Engineer (Energy)

About the role

Bosal Group is seeking a Junior Industrial Engineer specialized in Energy to join its Lummen site in Belgium. You will work on improving complex production systems, reducing waste, and ensuring efficient use of resources while upholding high standards of quality, safety, and cost‑effectiveness.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate and optimise production and business processes to boost efficiency and performance.
• Conduct time, motion, and workflow studies to identify improvement opportunities.
• Develop and implement continuous‑improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen.
• Analyse operational data to uncover efficiency gains and cost‑reduction possibilities.
• Design and optimise facility layouts, production lines, and digital factory twins.
• Define performance metrics, monitor KPIs, and drive data‑based decision‑making.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to enhance quality, productivity, and workplace safety.
• Perform capacity planning, resource allocation, and production optimisation.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and work instructions.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• 1–3 years of experience in a similar role, or a recent graduate with a relevant Master’s degree.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Proactive, adaptable, and committed to continuous learning.
• Fluent in Dutch and English with excellent communication skills.
