Junior Employment Lawyer (Brussels)

About the role

AKD is looking for a driven Junior Employment Lawyer to join its Brussels office under the leadership of partner Julien Hick. This position offers the chance to work directly with senior lawyers, handling cases from inception to resolution while building lasting client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Advise national and international businesses on a wide range of employment law matters, including restructurings, individual dismissals, M&A employment considerations, compensation & benefits, and workplace privacy.
• Represent clients before Belgian labor courts, developing litigation skills.
• Collaborate with senior team members on case strategy and client communication.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Law from a Belgian university.
• Native Dutch or French speaker with strong command of the other language.
• Fluent in English.
• Ambitious, results‑oriented, and a true team player.
• Passion for employment law and interest in sectors such as financial services, life sciences, and consumer goods.
