Java Software Engineer – Spring & Microservices

About the role

You will join SFEIR Belgium’s technology hub in Brussels to design and deliver modern Java applications that modernise critical systems for millions of users. Working with a startup‑spirit team backed by a large group, you will collaborate closely with data, cloud and AI specialists to create future‑proof, AI‑enhanced solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Java microservices using Spring and Quarkus.
• Modernise legacy applications and ensure high performance, scalability and security.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (data, cloud, AI) to integrate services and drive innovation.
• Champion best‑practice engineering standards and contribute to client‑facing technical excellence.
• Participate in code reviews, testing and continuous delivery pipelines.

Required profile

• Fluent in French and English.
• Strong passion for technology and continuous learning.
• Experience delivering production‑grade Java applications in an agile environment.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, collaborative setting.
