IT Support Specialist - Workplace

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Workplace Support Technician to join the GEMS‑IS Helpdesk & Workplace Solutions team in Brussels. The role provides first‑ and second‑line IT support for a large enterprise, covering laptops, desktops, mobile devices and VIP users.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver 1st and 2nd line support via phone, email and on‑site, handling incidents and service requests.
• Configure, install and maintain Windows and macOS workstations, and manage workstation assets.
• Support end‑users with laptops, desktops, smartphones, tablets and Mobile Device Management solutions.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external suppliers to resolve technical issues and maintain documentation.

Required profile

• 5–8 years of workplace/EUC/helpdesk experience supporting 1,000+ users in a large enterprise.
• Strong customer‑facing communication, analytical and problem‑solving abilities, and ability to work under pressure.
• Fluent in French, Dutch and English.
• Experience in a trading environment is a plus.

Required skills

• Windows 10/11 and macOS administration.
• Office 365 suite.
• Active Directory management.
• Mobile Device Management (MDM) and smartphone/tablet support.
• ITIL‑based service management processes (desirable).
