IT Project Manager

About the role

Phinest, a Belgian management consulting firm, is looking for an experienced IT Project Manager to lead strategic IT initiatives for its Bel20 and Bel20‑like clients across multiple sectors. You will be responsible for delivering high‑quality technology solutions from inception to completion while collaborating with diverse technical and business teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead IT projects through all phases – initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure – managing scope, schedule, resources, risks, and budget.
• Coordinate developers, engineers, architects and other technical staff, ensuring the right resources are available when needed.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans using Agile, Scrum or Waterfall methodologies as appropriate.
• Monitor deliverables to guarantee timely, high‑quality solutions that meet business requirements.
• Manage stakeholder relationships, including internal teams, clients, vendors and senior management.
• Implement risk‑management strategies to anticipate and resolve technical or organisational issues.
• Produce comprehensive documentation such as technical specifications, progress reports and post‑mortem analyses.
• Mentor project team members on best practices in IT project management.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Management or Business.
• 2–10 years of proven experience in project management.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal and organisational abilities.
• Comfort working in a multicultural, matrix‑based environment with competing priorities.
• Strategic communication skills for diverse stakeholder groups.
• Effective time‑management, flexibility, proactivity and autonomy.
