IT Onsite Support Specialist – Retail

About the role

We are looking for an IT Onsite Support Specialist to join a leading retail organisation in Belgium. The role combines remote first‑line assistance with occasional on‑site visits to ensure that store and corporate IT systems run smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 1st and 2nd line support to retail stores and central services, primarily remotely and when needed on‑site.
• Monitor the performance and availability of Point‑of‑Sale (POS) systems and coordinate issue resolution with internal or external partners.
• Log, track and follow up tickets using the company’s service‑desk platform.
• Assist in the maintenance and enhancement of POS and ERP functionalities.
• Create and update user documentation, operational procedures and internal knowledge‑base articles.
• Identify recurring issues, risks and opportunities for process improvement.
• Participate in testing activities and system upgrades as expertise develops.

Required profile

• Strong motivation to learn and develop expertise in business applications and IT systems.
• Proactive, hands‑on attitude with a customer‑focused mindset.
• Ability to work collaboratively while taking ownership of tasks.
• Fluent in Dutch; French and English are an advantage.
• Willingness to join an on‑call rotation with appropriate compensation.

Required skills

• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV or Business Central (considered an asset).
• Familiarity with retail POS environments.
