Intern Trade Sales Account Management

About the role

ING is looking for an Intern Trade Sales Account Manager in its Wholesale Banking team in Belgium, based in Brussels. The internship sits at the heart of a team of trade product specialists and gives exposure to international clients, trade products and credit analysis. It is a hands-on opportunity to learn how ING supports international corporate clients in managing their trade and working capital needs.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to credit-related matters, including annual reviews, waivers and new requests
• Prepare credit packages according to ING policy
• Help build materials for commercial discussions
• Support senior leaders in the team with preparatory work for strategic projects
• Work alongside trade specialists on commercial discussions, credit analysis, client materials, risk management and legal documentation for securitisation and trade finance facilities, including bilateral, club-deal and syndicated structures

Required profile

• Finishing studies in econometrics, business economics, financial engineering, and/or CFA or equivalent academics
• Fluency in written and spoken English
• Curious, proactive and willing to take ownership in a fast-moving environment
• Team player who enjoys working in a multicultural team
