Indirect Tax Consultant (VAT)

About the role

Join Ryan's Brussels-based indirect tax team as an Indirect Tax Consultant (VAT). This entry‑level position is designed for recent graduates eager to develop deep expertise in VAT compliance while working closely with senior specialists and partners.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review VAT returns under supervision for Belgian and international clients.
• Analyze accounting data to ensure VAT compliance.
• Support VAT registrations and related compliance processes.
• Assist in responding to information requests from tax authorities.
• Monitor VAT legislative developments with guidance from senior team members.
• Apply and progressively master Ryan’s internal VAT methodology.
• Contribute to internal knowledge sharing and technical development.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Tax Law, Law, Business, Economics, or a related field.
• Recent graduate or first professional experience in tax/VAT.
• Strong interest in building long‑term VAT expertise.
• Structured, detail‑oriented, and well‑organized.
• Ability to manage deadlines and maintain quality under pressure.
• Curious, proactive, and eager to learn.
• Team‑oriented and comfortable collaborating closely.
• Fluent in English; Dutch and/or French are a strong asset.
• Based in or willing to work from Brussels.
