HR Generalist – Commercial (Belgium & Middle East)

About the role

As an HR Generalist – Commercial you will act as the trusted People & Strategy partner for Belden’s Commercial teams in Belgium and the Middle East (UAE and Saudi Arabia). You will support the full employee lifecycle, drive HR initiatives and help shape a high‑performing, compliant commercial environment.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with Commercial teams on workforce planning, team development and organisational changes.
• Manage recruitment, onboarding, development, engagement and off‑boarding for commercial roles.
• Coordinate monthly payroll input and time‑and‑attendance reporting with the payroll team.
• Support talent management, performance reviews and annual compensation cycles.
• Lead employee‑engagement and culture‑building activities tailored to a commercial setting.
• Implement global initiatives such as Be Well, DEI programs and employee development at the regional level.
• Provide guidance on Belgian labour law and, where applicable, UAE and Saudi Arabian labour regulations.

Required profile

• Degree in Business Administration with a focus on Human Resources or comparable qualification.
• Several years of experience as an HR Generalist, preferably in an international matrix environment.
• Strong knowledge of Belgian labour law; knowledge of UAE and Saudi labour law is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work across multiple organisational levels.

Required skills

• In‑depth understanding of Belgian labour legislation.
• Familiarity with HR processes: recruitment, onboarding, performance management, talent management and compensation.
• Experience coordinating payroll data and time‑and‑attendance reporting.
• Ability to support DEI, wellbeing and employee development initiatives.
