Head of Communications, EU E-Commerce

About the role

We are looking for a Head of Communications for TikTok Shop’s European market. Reporting to the global e‑commerce communications lead, you will be the primary communications partner for Operations, Business and Product teams across 13 EU markets, shaping narratives and protecting the brand.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the strategic communications lead for EU market operations, advising on new‑market entries, PR risks and product launch narratives.
• Lead, mentor and develop a team of Communications Leads across core market clusters, providing counsel where no dedicated team exists.
• Build and maintain relationships with top‑tier and trade press, securing coverage and managing inquiries.
• Train and coach executives and subject‑matter experts for interviews and public events.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with marketing, operations, policy, legal and creator partnerships to ensure aligned messaging.
• Provide messaging counsel on EU regulatory issues in partnership with Public Policy & Government Relations.
• Identify and mitigate fast‑moving issues, working with Legal, Strategic Readiness and Operations to manage risks.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading communications teams in a multinational environment.
• Strong understanding of EU regulatory landscape and media environment.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills across product, operations and policy functions.
• Demonstrated ability to craft compelling narratives for both internal and external audiences.
