Global HR Operations Lead

About the role

Aikido is scaling rapidly and needs a dedicated leader to centralise and professionalise HR operations worldwide. Based in Ghent, you will act as the backbone of the organisation, ensuring compliance, efficiency and scalability as the company expands across Europe, the US and Asia.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end HR operations (payroll, contracts, compliance, employee administration) with Belgium as the primary hub.
• Support legal entities and employees in Chicago, San Francisco, London and Singapore.
• Serve as the go‑to person for employee‑admin queries (vacation attestations, local labour rules, visa sponsorship, etc.).
• Manage onboarding, off‑boarding and employee benefits across regions, including Belgian programmes (Olympus Mobility, Easyvest, Monizze, Alan) and equivalents elsewhere.
• Coordinate with HR tools and vendors such as Oyster, Rippling and local payroll providers.
• Collaborate with legal partners to advise on HR/legal sensitivities in EU and US jurisdictions.
• Report to the Chief of Staff, aligning HR operations with company priorities.

Required profile

• Strong HR and payroll expertise in Belgium, complemented by experience with US payroll processes.
• Hands‑on knowledge of global HR operations (contracts, benefits, compliance) across multiple regions.
• Highly organised, detail‑driven and practical with a tech‑savvy mindset.
• Clear communicator eager to learn and adapt in a fast‑growing environment.
