Global Financial Controller

About the role

PB Leiner, a leading producer of gelatins and collagen peptides, is seeking a Global Financial Controller to support its finance governance during a strategic joint‑venture phase. Reporting to the Global Finance Director, the role is temporary (one‑year) with the possibility of freelance engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and continuously improve the global financial close and reporting process.
• Ensure accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of company and group financial reporting.
• Act as the liaison between local plant finance teams and central finance.
• Deliver ad‑hoc financial analyses, performance insights, and scenario modelling.
• Lead forecast rounds and budget exercises.
• Serve as a trusted sparring partner to the Global Finance Director on risks, opportunities, and performance.
• Contribute to finance transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required skills

• Fluent English (spoken and written).
• Solid controlling background in an industrial/manufacturing setting.
• Advanced Excel modelling and analysis.
• ERP experience, preferably SAP.
• Strong IT and systems affinity, including automation and data‑quality focus.
• Proven IFRS expertise and group reporting experience.
• Knowledge of US GAAP and SOX (plus).
• Experience in M&A environments and post‑merger integrations (plus).
