Furniture Management Manager (Temporary) – Brussels

About the role

We are seeking a temporary Furniture Management Manager to lead the analysis and optimisation of our furniture stock, warehouse and circular reuse processes for the Facilities Department of the Flemish government. The role runs from September 2026 to May 2027, with a possible extension, and combines onsite work in Brussels with remote tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Map and document current furniture, stock and warehouse management processes, identifying bottlenecks and improvement opportunities.
• Analyse and optimise the BOS inventory system to improve data quality, reporting, and support for reuse and circular management.
• Develop and implement clear procedures for furniture follow‑up, registration, stock overview and disposal.
• Evaluate warehouse operations, clean‑up stock, and propose efficient storage and retrieval solutions.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure the new framework aligns with sustainability goals and future office projects.

Required profile

• Proven experience in furniture or asset management, preferably within a large organisational or governmental setting.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to design and document processes.
• Knowledge of circular economy principles and sustainable asset reuse.
• Excellent communication skills to work with diverse internal stakeholders.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the BOS inventory management system (or similar asset tracking tools).
