Functional Architect – Transversal Components

About the role

Nexeo is seeking an experienced Functional Architect to join its Transversal Capabilities Tribe. You will design end‑to‑end solution architectures that support enterprise‑wide platforms such as API management, portals, middleware, e‑archiving, and document management, driving the organization’s digital transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Define and deliver solution architectures for strategic initiatives across multiple business domains.
• Translate business requirements into scalable, sustainable architectural designs.
• Lead stakeholder alignment from ideation through approval and implementation.
• Contribute to target architecture roadmaps, standards, and reference models.
• Support architecture governance and ensure compliance with enterprise principles.
• Collaborate with product owners, analysts, developers, and enterprise architects in an Agile‑at‑Scale environment.
• Communicate architecture decisions clearly to technical and non‑technical audiences.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience as an IT Architect, Functional Architect, or Solution Architect.
• Proven experience in solution architecture and strong understanding of functional and application architecture principles.
• Experience with formal architecture frameworks and architecture modeling tools.
• Ability to drive architectural discussions and secure stakeholder buy‑in.
• Preferred experience in Banking, Insurance, or large‑scale multinational organizations.
