Full Stack Developer - Test & Workflow Management System

About the role

Aerospacelab, an aerospace company founded in 2018 that has deployed 10 satellites into orbit, is strengthening its satellite verification and validation team. It is looking for a Full Stack Developer to build and maintain its test and workflow management and execution solution, with frontend and backend development, in a flat-hierarchy, fast-paced environment with flexible ways of working.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the test/workflow management and execution solution, covering the full software lifecycle: design, development, testing, code review, documentation and user manual updates.
• Configure and manage CI/CD pipelines and perform SRE activities such as monitoring, alerting, log aggregation, incident response, backups and disaster recovery.
• Integrate the backend with the company's satellite requirements and test specification management tool and its ERP system.
• Gather user needs from engineers, operators and other teams to shape the backend and frontend roadmaps for the workflow and test execution framework.
• Develop features for satellite V&V: test automation and scheduling, satellite monitoring and control, report generation, test infrastructure management and safety mechanisms.
• Support toolkits and libraries to connect test equipment used in satellite V&V campaigns.
• Contribute to knowledge sharing, process improvement and brainstorming sessions, and look for ways to improve team efficiency.
• Possibility to develop and integrate AI solutions and to support simulation models (satellite virtualization).

Required profile

• Bachelor, Master or PhD in computer science or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of experience with the listed technologies or equivalent.
• Fluent written and spoken English; eligibility to work in Belgium, Switzerland or France with a hybrid schedule.
• Nice to have: space sector experience, interest in workflow engines and IoT, and experience with AI tools and agents.

Required skills

• Backend: Python, Java, C, C++ and related technologies; frontend: TypeScript, JavaScript, Vue.js, Vuetify, Nuxt, React or similar.
• IDEs, Linux and shell, SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, SQLAlchemy, Alembic, S3, InfluxDB).
• Version control (GitLab, GitHub) and CI/CD; Docker, Harbor, Kubernetes.
• Web frameworks, task managers, message brokers, error tracking and SSO technologies.
