Front-End Developer – Digital Engineering

About the role

You will join Cognizant Digital Engineering in Amsterdam, working in multidisciplinary teams to deliver AI‑driven digital platforms for leading financial services clients. The role offers a fast‑paced, collaborative environment where innovation and continuous learning are core to daily work.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver and maintain essential front‑end functionalities such as navigation, profiles, and core experience features.
• Build and sustain a robust, consistent navigation architecture and baseline application experience.
• Conduct discovery activities to understand customer needs, constraints, and opportunities.
• Collaborate with designers, architects, and product owners to create seamless, intuitive user interfaces.
• Contribute reusable, scalable solutions that support broader platform development.
• Ensure performance optimisation and “snappy” user experiences across the application.

Required profile

• Proactive and adaptable front‑end developer thriving in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills across cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• 5+ years of senior‑level experience developing complex software solutions.
• Advanced proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Hands‑on experience with Angular.
• Strong knowledge of browser APIs and the UI layer.
• Experience building framework‑independent, scalable front‑end solutions.
• Familiarity with design systems and shared codebases used by multiple teams.
• Experience working in a monorepo environment.
• Performance optimisation and “snappiness” engineering expertise.
