Freelance Application Architect – 10‑Month Contract

About the role

Our client is building a centralized, secure digital platform for passenger transport authorization management. As a freelance Application Architect you will design and implement the technical backbone that enables agents, inspectors and users to work efficiently and compliantly.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and design a robust backend that enforces business rules and secures data access.
• Lead development of a back‑office application (Angular frontend, Spring Boot API, Oracle database).
• Guide creation of an Android field‑inspector app using Flutter for real‑time and deferred data access.
• Oversee recovery and integration of existing and new authorization data.
• Ensure compliance with client‑defined technical and security standards.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate functional requirements into scalable solutions.
• Document technical and functional aspects of the architecture.
• Implement logging, audit mechanisms and access security according to user profiles.
• Support Power BI reporting for passenger transport operations.
• Champion Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) within a multidisciplinary team.

Required profile

• Senior‑level expertise in software/application architecture.
• Proven experience in Agile project environments, especially Scrum and Kanban.
• Result‑oriented mindset with strong ownership and ability to work autonomously.
• Critical thinker capable of translating business needs into technical solutions.
• Excellent communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration.
