Financial Controller

About the role

The Financial Controller will join Apheon’s Finance Team in Brussels, reporting to the CFO and Head of Control & Finance. This role is essential for delivering accurate financial information and supporting strategic decision‑making across the Group.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review and analyse financial statements for the Apheon Group and its subsidiaries.
• Implement and maintain robust financial controls, processes and reporting systems.
• Provide insights into financial performance, trends and key metrics to support strategic decisions.
• Support and coordinate the consolidation process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Collaborate with local accountants to streamline reporting and improve efficiency.
• Conduct periodic reviews to identify financial risks and opportunities.
• Assist in developing annual budgets and forecasts, monitor performance against budget and deliver variance analysis.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in financial reporting, analysis and consolidation.
• Strong understanding of accounting standards and consolidation procedures.
• Ability to work closely with finance teams and external accountants.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Proactive attitude and ability to meet tight deadlines.
