Procurement Specialist – Indirect Spend

About the role

As a Procurement Specialist focusing on indirect spend, you will manage the full procurement cycle—from need definition to contract follow‑up—working closely with internal clients across IT, HR, Finance, Communication and Real Estate. Based in Brussels, you will contribute to the implementation of the Procurement BeLux strategy and ensure compliance with policies and service levels.

Key responsibilities

• Process purchase requests in line with defined policies and service levels.
• Manage buyer and contract files for multiple support functions.
• Analyse internal needs and develop appropriate purchasing strategies.
• Lead negotiations, draft contracts and focus on value creation and risk control.
• Promote procurement policies, processes and governance among stakeholders.
• Monitor and communicate procurement results and savings.
• Manage contracts throughout their lifecycle and support mediation when required.
• Contribute to category management and supplier relationship management.

Required profile

• Master’s degree or equivalent experience.
• At least 7 years of experience in indirect spend procurement.
• In‑depth knowledge of negotiation, contract management, financial and cost management, and procurement law.
• Strong communication and influencing skills with a wide range of stakeholders.
• Fluent in English, French and Dutch (spoken and written).

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with procurement tools.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
