Financial and Control Officer – Brussels

About the role

Nickel is seeking a Financial and Control Officer to join its Belgian team in Brussels. Reporting directly to the local Chief Financial Officer, you will act as the CFO’s right‑hand in managing finance, accounting, and control functions.

Key responsibilities

• Control incoming and outgoing documents and coordinate processing with the shared service centre.
• Ensure accuracy of accounting production and financial statements produced by the shared service centre.
• Monitor analytical accounting and verify correct departmental allocations.
• Oversee cash‑flow management and implement appropriate treasury controls.
• Participate in budgeting and strategic planning alongside the CFO.
• Guarantee compliance with Belgian tax and financial regulatory reporting requirements.
• Produce regular reporting in coordination with local accounting advisors.
• Manage the relationship with the external auditor.
• Oversee accounting control reporting to BNP Paribas Group (FACT) and Nickel’s Group in France.
• Provide ad‑hoc analysis for management and implement global control plans as needed.
• Assist the local OPC in financial control timing and efficiency checks.
• Develop automated reporting tools in collaboration with central Nickel teams.

Required profile

• Solid experience in finance, accounting, or management control.
• Knowledge of Belgian tax and financial regulatory requirements.
• Experience working with shared service centres and external auditors.
• Ability to contribute to budgeting and strategic planning processes.
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
