Field Service Technician

About the role

WTS Energy is seeking a Field Service Technician to be the first point of contact for our client’s low‑ and medium‑voltage installations across project sites in Belgium, primarily in the Ghent region. You will ensure that energy solutions are safe, reliable and future‑ready through hands‑on installation, maintenance and troubleshooting.

Key responsibilities

• Install, assemble and maintain low‑ and medium‑voltage switchgear on various project sites.
• Perform cable terminations in line with AREI regulations and industry standards.
• Commission, test and inspect electrical installations to guarantee optimal performance.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues independently or with external partners.
• Carry out electrical measurements, document results and produce clear reports.
• Verify materials, technical documentation and work preparation before execution.
• Uphold the highest safety standards and comply with all site safety requirements.

Required profile

• Technical qualification in Electrical Engineering or Electromechanics, or 3–5 years relevant experience.
• Strong ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
• Hands‑on approach with good communication and customer service skills.
• Flexibility to work across different locations in the Ghent region and adapt working hours.
• Willingness to travel to the Netherlands for training when required.
• Fluent in Dutch and English; French is a plus.
• Valid Category B driving licence.
