External Communication Manager – Belgium & Luxembourg

About the role

As the External Communication Manager for Belgium & Luxembourg, you will lead the development and execution of Thales’ external communication strategy across both countries. Reporting to Country Management and collaborating with Corporate Communications, you will ensure consistent messaging for media, events, CSR, branding and social media.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement a comprehensive external communications plan aligned with business objectives.
• Manage media relations, including press releases, interviews and media monitoring.
• Plan, coordinate and support exhibitions, conferences and other public events.
• Create and maintain communication assets such as corporate presentations, fact sheets, internal newsletters and employee town‑hall materials.
• Support the Country Business Development team with operational communication needs.
• Develop and execute media strategies for key market verticals, both corporate and local.
• Lead community relations and sponsorship programmes in Belgium and Luxembourg.
• Foster the internal communication community across Thales entities in the region.

Required profile

• University degree in public relations, communications, journalism, marketing or a related field.
• Minimum three years of professional experience in communications or public relations.
• Excellent written and verbal English skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly.
• Experience working in international, high‑tech or defence environments.
