Enterprise Infrastructure Architect

About the role

The Enterprise Infrastructure Architect at xplus will shape the technology landscape across the enterprise. You will define principles, strategies and reference architectures that ensure coherence between cloud, on‑prem and emerging AI solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain technology principles that guide architectural decisions company‑wide.
• Develop domain‑specific strategies for network, cloud, AI, security, data and other core areas.
• Create reference architectures and standards for each technological facet.
• Evaluate ongoing projects to ensure alignment with the defined technology strategy.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to translate strategic guidelines into actionable technical direction.
• Assess Cloud vs On‑Prem trade‑offs to support decision‑making and project evaluation.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience as an Enterprise Infrastructure Architect or in a comparable role.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to engineers, managers and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Fluent in Dutch and professional English; French is a plus.
• Willingness to work onsite at least two days per week.

Required skills

• Cloud architecture (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, hybrid models, governance).
• On‑prem infrastructure knowledge (datacenters, network, storage, security).
• Strategic analysis and technology governance.
• Understanding of AI concepts and their integration into enterprise environments.
