Employment Lawyer – Brussels

About the role

DLA Piper is seeking a motivated Employment Lawyer to join its Brussels office. You will work within a dynamic Belgian Employment team that advises a diverse client base, ranging from start‑ups to major corporates, on a full spectrum of employment matters.

Key responsibilities

• Advise clients on recruitment, reward, and global restructuring projects.
• Handle worker representation, whistleblowing, discrimination, diversity & inclusion, and termination matters.
• Provide counsel on data protection, outsourcing, corporate transactions, and due diligence.
• Represent clients in employment tribunals, courts of appeal, and manage claims.
• Protect confidentiality, business interests, and workplace safety.
• Assist with social security, international mobility, and related cross‑border issues.

Required profile

• 0‑3 years of experience as a lawyer specializing in employment law.
• Belgian Master’s degree in Law; an LLM obtained abroad is a plus.
• Qualified to practice law in Belgium.
• Excellent written and spoken English and Dutch; French is a plus.
• Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize complex files.
• Proactive, organized, flexible, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced international environment.
