Employment Associate – Brussels Law Firm

About the role

MVVP, a leading Brussels‑based law firm, is seeking an Employment Associate to join its team. You will work on a variety of employment and social security matters for a diverse client base, ranging from start‑ups to multinational corporations.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct legal research and draft opinions, contracts, and procedural documents.
• Provide advice on Belgian and European employment and social security law.
• Contribute to articles, books, and thought‑leadership publications.
• Deliver internal and client‑focused training sessions.
• Represent clients in negotiations and, when required, legal proceedings.
• Participate in business development activities and maintain direct client contact.
• Manage files autonomously with ownership from day one.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in employment law (trainee, associate, in‑house HR counsel, or legal consultant).
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of outcomes.
• Fluency in English, Dutch, and French.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Brussels, full‑time or part‑time.
• Experience with social security law or litigation is a plus.
