Director of Business Development, Belgium & Luxembourg

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Director of Business Development to lead our efforts in the Belgium and Luxembourg defence markets, based in Brussels. Reporting to the Country Manager for the Netherlands, you will shape market strategy and support execution projects.

Key responsibilities

• Accelerate business growth by converting prospects into orders and leading strategic business development campaigns for Saab's products and services in Belgium and Luxembourg.
• Deliver order intake and gross margin in line with budget, following the Saab Winning Business process.
• Lead and collaborate with product specialists, monitor the Saab CRM system and foster team spirit.
• Support the Country Market Plan and coordinate with other CSRs and the Country Manager.
• Build and cultivate a high‑value network within the Belgium and Luxembourg defence ecosystem.
• Support delivery project execution in‑country and provide customer sales support across the region as needed.

Required profile

• Proven experience (5‑10 years) in the Belgium and Luxembourg defence sector, including ministries, procurement agencies or armed forces.
• Successful track record in business development, marketing and sales with an entrepreneurial mindset.
• Strong negotiation, project management and commercial awareness, able to convert prospects into orders.
• Ability to work in Government‑to‑Government, Business‑to‑Government and Business‑to‑Business contexts.
• Fluency in French, Dutch and English; additional languages a plus.
