Director, International Policy Research & Economics

About the role

The Director, International Policy Research & Economics will lead the development and execution of evidence‑based strategies that support Bristol Myers Squibb’s global policy and advocacy priorities. Reporting to the Lead of the International Policy Research & Economics team, this senior position works across functions to ensure economic and policy insights shape enterprise decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the company’s policy evidence strategy for priority international issues.
• Act as the external subject‑matter expert on international policy research and economic matters.
• Oversee research projects including economic modeling, health technology assessment, fiscal impact assessments, and quantitative/qualitative analyses.
• Produce policy research materials, white papers, publications, and narratives that support corporate policy strategies.
• Disseminate research findings in external forums to influence the policy and regulatory environment.
• Build and manage relationships with research institutions, consultants, and policymakers.
• Provide senior leadership with expert guidance to integrate evidence into strategic decisions.

Required profile

• Deep knowledge of international healthcare systems and policy frameworks.
• Proven ability to integrate political, policy, and government‑affairs expertise into research strategies.
• Experience leading cross‑functional teams and managing external stakeholder relationships.
• Strong analytical mindset with a track record of delivering impactful economic evidence.
